Nita Mistry is an award-winning British actress, writer, and producer originally from Leicester, England.
She recently received a diversity scholarship for her comedy writing from the Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles. She was also selected for the prestigious BAFTA newcomer program in Los Angeles for emerging artists and has recently completed a four-year program.
Nita trained at Mountview Drama School in London and has worked across film, television, theatre, and radio. She is also the creator of a short-form episodic series titled "FROM BUCKINGHAM PALACE," which has quickly garnered numerous awards in the 2025 film festival circuit. Nita is the writer and producer of the series and plays the lead role.
Her earlier credits include working on the Warner Brothers feature film "WHAT A GIRL WANTS," and features in the very first series of BBC One's long-running drama "NEW TRICKS," as well as in ITV's medical drama "CASUALTY" and the hit feature film "ROMEO VS JULIET," where she played a supporting lead role filmed in London and Bangladesh.
More recently, Nita portrayed Angela Novak on "NCIS" (CBS) and Dr. Sonia Mahal on the NBC show "ORDINARY JOE." Prior to this she also played the role of Judy on ABC's "GENERAL HOSPITAL." Nita's resume includes numerous feature films and stage plays in the UK, with performances in both the fringe circuit and London’s West End.
